Works great once everything is installed
This added great value to my X-Plane setup. Beware the installation is not a trivial process because once you buy this you have a 4 step process to get it working. 1. After buying the hardware, you need to buy and install Reality XP software which is quite a process by itself. 2. Run the Realsim gear driver Installation 3. Install the shortcut to install or enable Tablet PC Settings (Windows 11 doesn't come with it) 4. Configure Windows to enable the touch screen functionality
GTN750
The device itself works well and feels close to the real thing using the Reality XP software with the Garmin trainer (Really as one would expect). The one improvement I would love to see is getting the display dimension closer to the real thing and the screen aspect ratio too. Currently Compass circles appear as ellipses rather than circles which is a bit of a shame. Mine is currently fitted into a mock up of a real fuselage but it does not occupy the same space as a real one within the Radio stack and that too is a bit of a shame. I tried myself to find a touch LCD which was the right size but failed. When I saw your device I thought you had achieved this but clearly you are having the same problems I was. Kind Regards, Peter Dobson.
GTN750 was a great choice
In some ways, my included photo of my RealSim Gears GTN750, G500 Auto-Pilot and G5 could be mistaken for being a photo of a real cockpit. Thats the visual quality that Real Sim Gear delivers. In addition to looking the part, it feels and acts the part when combined with TDS GTNxi for MSFS or Reality XP GTN750 for Xplane and Pop Out Manager for software. I picked the GTN750 for its ease of use controlling not only my navigating but also Coms, Navs and Xpndr. Its a great value and when paired with the G5's I have a low profile (not eating up a lot of my panel of my simpit) tool that replaces a lot of bigger equipment and hardware. Now if RealSim Gear would make a KLN90 GPS we could have the option for having the most modern GPS and a classic old school one. N Palmer Nantucket, MA USA
Five stars isn’t enough.
This item is handcrafted down to the finest details. The fit and finish is remarkable. I have purchased several products from this company and I’m highly impressed with the quality. Provided documentation and searches online provide plenty of information on technical set ups. I am pretty tech savvy, and the set up was a breeze. But for those who struggle with technology stuff, the information available online was huge in getting the stuff up and running. I highly recommend this company’s products. And no, they did not pay me for this review. It’s just my honest opinion.
GTN 750
As a part of our future FAA approved AATD, this a great, realistic addition to the panel. Looking to add a pair of G5s to match our real fleet.
Perfect replica of the Garmin GTN 750
Exceptional piece of gear. It responds just like the real device does and feel just like the real device. Screen is very clear.
