Worldwide electronic charts on your simulated G3000, with a two-week update cycle and full geo-referencing. Everything that ships in Update 5.

RealSimGear Update 5 adds full Jeppesen ChartView electronic chart support to the SR7x and SFx simulator packages. Jeppesen ChartView is the professional chart product used by airline and corporate pilots worldwide, and it now runs natively on the simulated G3000 avionics in both simulators.
This post covers what the integration includes, how the subscription works, how pricing is structured, and how Jeppesen ChartView compares to the FAA FliteCharts already included with every RealSimGear simulator. If you'd rather watch than read, the full walkthrough video is at the bottom of this post.
01What the integration includes
Jeppesen ChartView on the SR7x and SFx is a full electronic chart product, not a simplified preview. Every feature a pilot would expect on the real G3000 flight deck is present:
- →Worldwide chart coverage. Every Jeppesen subscription on RealSimGear includes ChartView coverage for more than 7,000 airports worldwide, including approach plates, SIDs, STARs, and airport diagrams.
- →Worldwide Jeppesen navigation data. The subscription always includes worldwide Jeppesen NavData regardless of which chart region is selected. Waypoints, airways, and procedures match current real-world navigation data.
- →Geo-referenced charts. Approach plates, SIDs, STARs, and airport diagrams display the aircraft position as a live icon directly on the chart. This is the same behavior as the certified G3000 in a real SR22 G7 or Vision Jet.
- →Section views. Jeppesen charts support quick navigation between plan view, profile view, and minimums view directly from the chart options menu.
- →Night color palette. Jeppesen charts render in a dedicated night palette for low-light operations. FAA FliteCharts receive a night color-inversion treatment for the same use case.
- →Sync Phase of Flight. The Sync POF function intelligently loads the relevant chart based on the current phase of flight: an airport diagram when on the ground, the nearest airport diagram when airborne without a flight plan, the appropriate SID or STAR when flying one, or the approach plate when on an approach.
- →Preferred source with automatic fallback. The simulator uses preferred-source logic. If you set Jeppesen as your preferred source and load an airport without Jeppesen coverage, the simulator automatically falls back to FAA FliteCharts. The reverse also applies.
02How the subscription works
Jeppesen ChartView on RealSimGear is a subscription handled entirely through RealSimGear. Subscribers do not interface with Jeppesen directly.
- →Activation. Subscribe through the RealSimGear launcher. A RealSimGear account is all that's required.
- →Installation. Charts and navigation data install automatically over the internet. No SD cards, no manual transfers.
- →Updates. Jeppesen operates on a two-week update cycle, distinct from the 28-day ARINC 424 cycle used for FAA charts and standard navigation data. When a new Jeppesen cycle becomes effective, the RealSimGear launcher notifies you with a prompt to install the update.
- →Per-system billing. Subscriptions are priced per simulator system. Owners with multiple systems subscribe per system.

03Pricing
Pricing is per simulator system and differs for personal and commercial use. The full Jeppesen dataset that costs five figures or more annually in certified avionics systems is available on your simulator at a fraction of the cost.
Current Jeppesen subscription pricing
Subscriptions are per simulator system. Renewals are annual and chart data updates automatically every two weeks through the RealSimGear launcher.
04How Jeppesen ChartView compares to FAA FliteCharts
Both chart products are available on RealSimGear simulators. FAA FliteCharts are included with every simulator; Jeppesen ChartView is an optional paid subscription. The choice depends on use case:
Both chart products coexist on the simulator, and a single preferred-source setting determines which one is displayed first. The simulator automatically falls back to the other source when charts are not available in the preferred one.
05Which simulators support Jeppesen ChartView
Jeppesen ChartView integration is available on RealSimGear simulator packages equipped with the simulated G3000 avionics suite:
- →SR7x: for the Cirrus SR20, SR22, and SR22T G7 with Perspective+.
- →SFx: for the Cirrus Vision Jet SF50.
Both packages are available in Home (BATD) and Pro (AATD) configurations.
06What's next
Jeppesen ChartView is one of several major additions in RealSimGear Update 5. The update also adds a full Synthetic Vision System on the PFD, customizable VNAV schedules, expanded Direct-To functionality, a rebuilt global terrain database, and more than 60 other improvements and fixes.
