Great products and even better support

For my most recent simpit build (this would be my 6th one in 25 years) I wanted to create a simpit that weighed heavily on realistic, GA and had a few planes in mind. I much more prefer the G5 with a GTN 750 or 650 in my real life flying over the G1000's. As far as the actual product..its coming up on a year now since I have had them and I can say they havent disappointed. For the future buyer or person who is looking to build a simpit with the G5's I will share this. The RSG hardware with the use of Air Manager software allows me to have all kinds of GA plane options for both MSFS and Xplane. Its easy to program the speed tape strip for the various V-speeds to match each planes profile and the screens can even be used as small screens for steam gauges as seen in the picture of the Carenado C185RG where I used the dual screens for Airspeed and an Attitude Indicator. I also used the Real Sim Gear USB dongle to connect to my computer since my 4090 only has 4 ports and I'm running 6 screens. Theres been maybe two occasions where one of the two screens didnt come on during computer start up and all I had to do was unplug the dongle and plug it back in to be back in business. I prefer plug and play and for the most part thats what you can expect in getting these up and running. I've had zero issues with these screens in loosing focus and needing to be reassigned or trouble shot. Basically, once you get it set up, you're done. RSG offers great how to's with step by step instructions but in the event that you need more info, they were quick in returning my emails getting me up and running. N. Palmer Nantucket, MA USA

G5 Update

Hello, I should also make a comment on the G5 update. So, I outdated my G5 software to 2.0 and it didn't work. A quick chat with Dustin from Real Sim Gear and I had clarity. I switched my monitors to X-Plane and the function was there without any side effects. For all my aircraft, the display is now only on the hardware and no longer anywhere in the cockpit of my aircraft. Thank you to the Real Sim Gear team for creating this masterpiece. best regards

Great gets even better

My aircraft, a Piper Archer II, has dual G5s, a GNS430W, a GFC500 and a GTX335 transponder. I duplicated all this except the transponder at home in X-Plane with modules from RealSimGear. The experience is more than worth the investment as I am able to work out issues before I jump into my airplane. Yesterday, though, was one of the coolest moments in my simulation experience. I downloaded and ran the G5 update RealSimGear published yesterday, fired up X-Plane, hit the flight director button on my GFC500, and sure enough, the magenta wing indicator appeared instantly. If you don't follow what I'm talking about here, just know that great got even greater. You guys are awesome!

Exceptional product AND support!

Last December I purchased equipment from Real Sim Gear on the recommendation of a trusted friend, fellow pilot and savvy consumer. I was attempting to emulate my personal PA32 for procedures training, with two G-5s, GTN750 and GFC500. As these were still new products for RSG, the company was still debugging and solving problematic issues, and I complicated the process by attempting to use them in a third party aircraft that was not being supported by the original developer. I spent countless hours on the phone and Online Team Viewer with Zach in Tech Support, and he kept working to solve all my problems, and every feature of all components now Works PERFECTLY and has exceeded even my highest hopes/expectations. The realism and accuracy I now have available to me exceeds all training devices I have used as a 35,000 hour airline captain/instructor. The pure product quality, detailed and generous tech support, and the actual realism is beyond what I initially imagined, and I am spreading the word in the most sincere and honest way possible. Real Sim Gear and Zach in Tech support have earned my complete loyalty and admiration, and the value of the experience they have provided can’t be completely expressed in this short review!
