Life changing experience!
Absolutely love this equipement! So ultra-realistic hardware and interface that elevated my virtual flying experience. In my opinion the most immersive and comprehensive experience I've had in my flight simulation career. An absolute must if you are serious about flight simming! :)
Worth the price for those wanting to build a realistic sim setup (now to move the monitor up or buy a proper frame, that is the question)
(Student Pilot, 170+ hrs, Advanced Ground Instructor) since MSFS2020 came out, I've built out part by part the various hardware components including the honeycomb alpha and bravo quadrants, the Saitek rudder controls, saitek radio decks and flight instrument panels. Sadly, the Saitek units were starting to show their age. Having trained so far on 172 steam gauges, this provides an opportunity to acclimate myself to the glass cockpit without needing to log flight time or having to occupy the Red Bird sim. Because I'm running an 8th gen intel cpu, the cpu is under very heavy load and would have problems rendering either the PFD or the MFD while in VR mode (even with a GTX 4080), so sadly an augmented reality setup might not be ideal (i.e. gaining muscle memory of the button placement while allowing outside depth perception via the VR headset. The only thing I could properly note that should be worked on, adding a brightness control for the lcd screen (either though a monitor state in X-Plane/MSFS or hardcode an option into a button). There is also a possible documentation mistake regarding the Volume Control knob (above the Comms) controlling the button brightness. The volume knob above the Navs ended adjusting the brightness. Now to determine if I'm better off moving the monitor up (to regain the lost space, due the sheer size of these things ) or just buy a proper chassis (decisions decisions)
Problem with Order Overcome with Great Customer Service
Two years ago, I bought a G1000 and desktop stand to use with my MSFS sim. This Christmas, Santa brought me a second G1000 and desktop stand to complete my PFD/MFD setup. I absolutely love having the pair! Unfortunately, the new stand sat at a slightly different angle than the original one, leaving an annoying gap at the top. So, minus one star. I contacted RSG customer service to see what they would do about it and they generously agreed to send a replacement stand so both would be current production units and therefore match. So, plus one star for a total of five. Unfortunately, the new one was still a bit off (but less so than the original pair) which I was able to fix with a thin shim under the rear of the stand. Turns out there are two stand types that should be identical but may not be exactly so. The one ordered by customer service was SKU RSG-G1000-PFDS (same as Santa's elves made) and the one sent was SKU RSG-G1000-SUITES. If you're like me and couldn't afford dual units and stands at the same time and now are ready to buy a second G1000 and stand, I suggest checking your original order and ask for the one that will most closely match it.
Best Customer Service team
I recently encountered some issues with my G1000 unit, and after reaching out to the customer service team, they promptly resolved my issues.
Love It
I had purchased a G1000 from FlightsimBilders but ended up returning it because of some issues. Then I bought the RaelsimGear G1000, and it was the best decision I made.

My overall experience was excellent! Had one issue on connecting. That was quickly solved with a call to customer support! I am totally enjoying using real sim gear. I am a commercial pilot with instrument rating. What a way to practice all procedures!
