The DAx Home is a full-cockpit, BATD-approved training system designed to accurately replicate the Diamond DA40 NG. With aircraft-specific controls and authentic avionics behavior, it supports realistic procedural and IFR training in a home environment.

Pilots can practice checklists, flows, instrument procedures, and emergency scenarios while logging eligible BATD time. The full cockpit platform and immersive visuals provide a natural transition to the aircraft, all within a footprint suited for residential or private training spaces.

Is this system approved for logging flight training time?

Yes. This system is FAA Basic Aviation Training Device (BATD)–approved, allowing eligible training time to be logged in accordance with FAA regulations. Up to 10 hours toward an instrument rating and to maintain instrument currency.

What kind of support is included with this system?

All Home systems include hardware warranty coverage and access to RealSimGear’s remote support team for troubleshooting, software updates, and ongoing assistance.

Do you ship these systems internationally?

Yes. Home systems can be shipped worldwide. International customers are responsible for applicable duties, taxes, and import requirements, and our team provides guidance to support a smooth delivery process.

How is this system delivered and set up?

Home systems ship fully assembled in a dedicated crate measuring approximately 60 × 48 × 48 inches and weighing around 500 lbs. Each system includes PDF and video setup guides covering placement, TV mounting, and system setup, along with a remote onboarding session to walk through configuration and operation. White-glove installation services are available as an optional add-on for customers who prefer full on-site setup.
