An old "analogue" dog, trying to learn new "digital" tricks!
Too soon for a thorough review of the 530/430 but installation was fast and having my fingers on the controls is very realistic instead of clicking and scrolling knobs with a mouse! GPS radios weren't around when I earned my Private and Instrument Ratings! I feel like an analogue caveman! I never knew what a magenta line meant! Having the Realsimgear 530/430 in my DIY simulator makes flying so easy! I'm starting to develop a "guilt complex" because I feel like I'm "cheating" now! I still don't have all those 530/430 menus and pages memorized yet this old dog is happy he's learning new tricks! My homebuilt cockpit closely resembles the Classic 172 in FS2020, with my Altimeter Motives Panel on the left side and the 530/430 on the right side. I'm using a 49" Ultrawide monitor for looking out the front windscreen with a full outside view. Very realalistic!
Wonderful experience
This is what I was missing in my cockpit to get ride of the plane dashboard. Great experience and learning tools as well.
Doesn't work with Prepar3D V5.3
I never got it to work. Even though it's a legacy product, I got some support when I asked to return it. I'm running Prepar3D V5.3 on Windows 10. The RealSimGear display didn't show up on my instrument panel list. Probably because Prepar3D has changed since the legacy driver was released. They had no issue with issuing a RMA after I couldn't find the display.
Realistic as best
I'm so happy with my flight instruments it make the sim very useful and very easy to learn from Thank you to your staff for making the experience real CC

Great Gear and Support
I’ve had the GNS430/530 combo for some time now and am quite happy with both. They are easy to setup and work well with MSFS. It is very immersive to operate these units with the hardware rather than clicking a mouse on the screen. RSG support is top notch. Any time I’ve needed help they are very quick to respond and provide me with the help I need. I’m happy enough that I intend to eventually expand my collection to the G1000 and GTN750 units.
