This unit features it's own 5" LCD screen that is used to display the Garmin 530 pop out screen from your flight simulator program.

I have been using the GNS530 for a few months now and it is really a nice gadget greatly improving my flighsim exprience. The first device that I got had malfunctioning large right rotary knob. RSG accepted the claim even when I have to say there was quite a long waiting for the feedback what exactly they would do. Afterwards all worked flawlessly. They sent me a new device. They helped me a lot with local customs (zero value for the replacement was a problem). Both deliveries were super fast considering that they had to go accross half of the world. So now I am only enjoying the gadget:)

I purchased the GNS530/430 bundle from Australia and had to RMA the 530 due to an issue with the screen. RealSimGear provided amazing service, I had a new device delivered from California to my door in Australian within 4 days - service doesn't get any better than that Both devices are great; very tactile, and give you next level immersion, that I'm hoping will build muscle memory and assist in my instrument renewal. The only issue I have is there is no backlighting on the buttons, so when I fly at night (and no ambient lighting), I am unable to see the location of the buttons

in spite of menu bar in upper corner, quality is satisfying. I found I can use gns530 as com1 and Nav1 with the window of radio frequency. It is fantastic!
