Customer Reviews

Very Realistic
I have the G1000 Suite and I'm very happy with it and in particular, the support for when things are glitch. I was having quite an issue with screen resolution. Turned out to be the splitter x2. Finally found one that worked flawlessly. (Startech) Only one small issue at present, I'm seeing very small red pixels along the edge of the screen on one of the monitors. Hopefully the folks at RealSimGear can help and/or replace the monitor if it can't be resolved.

Love It
I had purchased a G1000 from FlightsimBilders but ended up returning it because of some issues. Then I bought the RaelsimGear G1000, and it was the best decision I made.

Excellent
Dies what it supposed to do. The only downside is that it is not the NXi version.

G1000 PFD/MFD - Great Product
I built a desktop simulator last year, using the G430 from RealSimgear. I was so impressed with the quality and technical support for this product that I decided to take the plunge and buy the G1000 set (PFD/MFD/Audio Panel) from them for my C172 project (using a real C172 cockpit) The end result is stunning and the G1000 panels added a level of realism that is absolutely fantastic. I am running Xplane 11 on the simulator which makes the G1000 experience about 90% accurate. (It would have been nice if there were 3rd party plugins for Xplane to make the ReaSimgear G1000 100% realistic like the plugin I have for the RealSimgear G430 from Reality XP) But, overall, yet another great product and a happy customer!

Perfection, but with a big flaw
Let me join the other enthusiastic reviewers: the G1000 performs as well as advertised - but let me point out a big flaw that must be addressed: the screen is very bright, as advertised, meaning that it becomes far too blinding during night flying. I'm told that there is no easy solution, as the currently installed G1000's panel backlighting offers no dimming facility. I offer two suggestions: - short term, get a grey tinted plexiglas panel of the exact screen size, easy to set and to remove (Velcro?) - it may not look too nice, but it would solve the problem; - long term, it should not be rocket science to make that panel dimmable ex-factory. ...and it's the only flaw I noticed, the rest is perfect.
RealSimGear.com
Hi Alvaro, Sorry for the very long delay in this, but it is possible to dim the display using the panel brightness control in X-Plane itself, have you tried that?

This is essential equipment if you want to fly planes in MSFS with a glass cockpit.
I stumbled on this product by accident, and it has changed everything! I find the glass cockpits on MSFS hard to use. Compared to traditional cockpits with an HSI/VOR and a radio/nav stack, there is a lot more use of tiny buttons and knobs that make flying the plane an unpleasant experience. This product provides the true look and feel and thanks to the physical buttons it is as easy to use as in a real plane. I bought four of these devices for two pilot/co-pilot setups (using 4 PCs), and I couldn’t be happier with the result. One unit failed on its first day, but the RealSimGear support person was helpful, competent, and handled the problem very quickly; I’m awaiting the replacement. For a single pilot setup, one of these would be very helpful, and of course, two of them would be ideal. If you order one or two of these, make sure that you order the stand(s). It is heavy and solid; it would be a mistake to order the unit without a stand.
