June 2025 Update - SFx & SR7x
We are excited to announce the latest update for our G3000 OnBoard Avionics. This latest release is now available for deployment to all current and future SFx and SR7x customers. This update brings new features, substantial improvements, enhanced stability, and refined functionality. If you have not done so already, please contact us to arrange a time for your upgrade.
The RealSimGear Launcher is also now available and is being installed alongside update 3 on SFx and SRx systems. The launcher better manages your simulator's configuration, ensuring your hardware and settings are always in a restorable state. Launch the simulator with the "launch" button, and everything else is handled automatically behind the scenes.

Key Enhancements
- Electronic Stability & Protection (ESP)
- Stick shaker, this is triggered by the standard stall warning system on the aircraft when a stall is imminent.
- ESP Roll Protection, this will engage when at greater than 45° bank angle, and push the yoke to try to return to 30°, includes the double bars on the PFD roll indicator.
- ESP Pitch Protection, this will engage when at greater than 20° pitch angle, and push the nose down to try to return to 17°.
- ESP Angle of Attack (AOA) Protection, this will engage when the angle of attack is nearing stall (AOA 0.95) and nudge the nose downwards (to AOA ≤0.9). This pitch angle is indicated (when nearing a high AOA) by the pitch limit indicator.
- ESP Overspeed Protection, this will engage in overspeed conditions to slow the aircraft down by pitching the nose up
- AP Disconnect inhibit logic. When the AP Disconnect button on the yoke is pressed and held, ESP will be inhibited from engaging.
- ESP can be turned on/off via the GTC Avionics Settings -> System -> "Stability & Protection" button (defaults to on).
- Discrete internal component modeling (AHRS, ADC, GPS, Magnetometers, Radios, etc.) These can be failed via X-Plane failures as well as via popping their associated circuit breakers. Miscompares, etc. are also modeled as part of this.
- Add support for X-Plane failures including engine related failures (FADEC, Starter, Fire, Failure, etc.), electrical systems (battery, generator, busses), avionics (AHRS, ADC, PFD, MFD, etc.), and more.
- Emergency, Advisory, and CAS checklists. This includes checklist opening via the CAS message. All checklists are added.
- Ability to turn off/downgrade GPS avsailability and new GPS Status GTC menu.
- All switches are now always in-sync with the sim.
- Flight plan progress bar can now be toggled on/off via map settings. This can be selected on a per-pane basis (sync turned off) or across all panes.
- Add all emergency, abnormal, warning, caution, and advisory checklists
- Reversionary mode, via both the display backup button and via power status of the GDUs.
- Addition of new GPS Status GTC Screen
- Ability to turn on/off the Flight Plan Progress display on the MFD

Bug fixes and minor changes:
- (SFx) Increased threshold for AT disengagement, especially when near idle thrust
- Altitude preselector isn't active when not set, which now inhibits on-ground FLC/VS arming until preselector is set
- Fix cases of origin airport being set with invalid GPS coordinates
- Fix cases where hold is bypassed with some approach IAFs
- Add course press-to-sync
- (SR7x) Adjust thresholds of engine warning/caution CAS messages
- (SR7x) Fix overlap near HSI when nav frequencies are tuned
- Adjust behavior for database errors with ICAO vs X-Plane airport codes
- Fix display of ATIS/ASOS frequencies at airports where the X-Plane database is invalid
- Fix checklist wheel functioning when on BAT2 only
- Fix labeling of approach sensitivity prior to FAF
- Improve enforcement of VNAV validity criteria
- (SFx) Adjust VNAV climb out speed behaviors with flaps at 50%
- (SFx) Armed AT mode now shows in white
- VOR approach loading now sets the appropriate VOR NAV frequency
- Trigger auto-display of standby gauge with dual ADC/AHRS failure
- Adjust driving source of data for standby gauge
- Allow failing of PFD/MFD displays
- Fix incorrect sequencing and turn prediction when exiting a hold
- Prevent capture of VNAV path when at the target altitude outbound of the hold
- Fix path logic with MAP waypoints
- Fix approach handling with "Vectors" when "Load and Activate" is pressed
- Fix go-around lateral mode to enter "GA" mode
- (SR7x) Add Alt 1/2 warning message, with appropriate timers
- Inhibit turn sequencing indication when no turn is required between legs
- Inhibit pitch trim motors when AP DISC is held
- Adjust ESP inhibiting behaviors
- (SR20) Add lean assist and leaning cyan marker
- (SFx) Add proper warning screen images
- (SFx) Adjust ECS behaviors
- (SFx) Default ECS to Defog and ECS Disable being selected
- (SFx) Hide CAPS and Emergency exit pins by default
- (SFx) Fix ITT peaking too high during start in some cases
- Fix AP Disconnect button not disabling FD
- Fix GS and/or LOC diamond showing when invalid
- (SR7x) Improved engine dynamics, including:
- Adjusted turbocharger bearing drag and waste-gate inertia (SR22T) to fix some fluctuations in engine power near idle
- Fix for fuel tank switcher not reseting 5 gallon timer when manually changing tank
- Added option for warming the oil temperature via the engine menubar
- Prime fuel-lines by default when persistent systems are not selected
- Adjust fuel-sloshing behavior when on-ground
- Improve handling of auto ILS auto-switching when flying consecutive approaches
- Restructure of initialization page structure
- Fix use of PFD softkey nested menus
- Ensure compliance with At/Above constraints in a flight plan without prior VNAV waypoints set
